Homes Needed for 18 Somerset Ferrets

The National Ferret Welfare Society (NFWS) is looking for good homes for a sudden influx of rescuees in Somerset.

Patrick Smith, president of the NFWS has managed to find homes for 2 kits but no longer has accommodation available to house the remaining 18 ferrets.

An elderly lady in Bridgewater who agreed to look after her grandson's 3 female ferrets ('jills') found herself with a houseful after two of the mothers gave birth 5 weeks ago to litters of 9 kits each, and now she cannot cope.

The third jill has also given birth in the last few days.

If anyone in the west country can help out or knows someone who could give a good home to any of these kits please get in touch with the NFWS by email:
