Pets On The Brain

Following in the 'Petspyjamas' tradition of strangely named on-line pet stores, a new venture is hoping to burn itself into our memories with its tongue-twister 'Petsonthebrain.com'.

The site aims to establish partnerships with vets throughout the UK, recruiting pet club memberships through individual practices. The purpose of the scheme is to offer discount prices on products and cost reductions on premium healthcare services at participating surgeries. Club membership costs £20 per year.

Garret O'Leary, Chief Executive for petsonthebrain.com said about the site:

'Our service is designed for people who are mad about their pets but are not necessarily internet-savvy. Content will range from an extremely user-friendly, comprehensive home-shopping offer and online entertainment to community services such as forums and advice from qualified professionals.'

The venture has been backed by investors PricewaterhouseCoopers to the tune of £1.4m.
