BioBest Okay for Rabies

The BioBest laboratory has become the only private-sector laboratory allowed to test for antibody to rabies virus as required by the Pet Travel Scheme after getting the go-ahead from the Ministry of Agriculture Fisheries and Food (MAFF). Testing is offered with immediate effect to all UK veterinary surgeons submitting samples through their usual veterinary laboratories and pet owners registering for the PETS Scheme are expected to benefit from a reduction in the time it takes for their pets' results to come through. BioBest's director Dr David Snodgrass commented: 'We believe that the approval of BioBest will greatly enhance the smooth operation of the Pet Travel Scheme.'
