UK Directory Launch

A new directory of UK pet service classified ads has been announced by Leicester based Riggside Dimensions at www.cats-dogs.co.uk. The site covers the UK and operates on a map-based navigation method allowing users to drill down geographically to county level. Founding partner in the venture, Jaqueline Collier-Dixon said: "We think the site will attract visitors because of its ease of use in the way we use mapping to find a service." The directory, which is being built from scratch, mailshot 6,500 pet-related businesses in the last week. "We plan to take out advertising in national consumer magazines such as Cats World and Dogs Today and promote the site at shows and exhibitions," said Ms Collier-Dixon. Adding to the growing number of UK pet directories, www.cats-dogs.co.uk which is due to be launched on 21st September, will need to work hard to stand out if it is to succeed with a planned charge of £30/year for business page entry.
