Dogs In Rescue UK

A new UK email list was established to help UK dog rescue organisations on January 15. With list membership now at 57, a network of contacts throughout the UK is developing which can only be good news for dogs looking for new homes.

Originating from the Dogs In Rescue UK web site set up by Caryl Williams, the network aims to pool the resources of the many individuals and rescue organisations that are either in need of help or are able to offer help when it comes to the rescue and rehoming of dogs.

The mailing list is open for use by vets, rescue groups, individuals such as foster carers, home checkers and anyone who has need of help or can provide help.

Organisers hope members will be able to quickly contact others in the network and offer real practical help to those in need.

Posts are also forwarded from members of the public who are seeking to adopt a dog or possibly looking for help with a particular problem.

In particular it is hoped to reduce the incidence of failing to place a dog in a new home because of a problem with transport.
