The 44th Annual British Small Animal And Veterinary Association,
(BSAVA),
Congress on 5 April at the International Convention Centre,
(ICC),
Birmingham is expecting 8000 delegates from the veterinary profession and has attracted
some top sponsorship this year.
Sponsors exhibiting at the event include the Dutch veterinary products manufacturer Intervet which is currently extending its R&D labs in Milton Keynes. Other pharmaceutical companies include Pfizer and Bayer The big pet food companies at the event such as, Hill's Pet Nutrition, Iams UK Ltd, Pedigree Masterfoods and Ralston Purina Northern Europe have now been joined by family owned Burgess Supafeeds who have been in touch to say they are promoting their Rabbit and Guinea Pig Excel foods. The winning entry for the Excel Veterinary Nurse of the Year will also be awarded at the show. Launched by Burgess Supafeeds in association with Alstoe Animal Health, the award aims to put veterinary nurses in the spotlight. The award also aims to raise awareness of the increasing number of rabbits seen in veterinary practices every year due to dental disease.
