Crufts Latest Statement Re: Foot & Mouth

Rumours are spreading around the internet that the Crufts event this year may be affected by the Foot & Mouth outbreak. The following statement has been issued by the Kennel Club today: "The Kennel Club's Chief Veterinary Officer is liaising very closely with MAFF, who have advised that at present they (MAFF) have no intention to place a ban on the movement of dogs and they do not believe that the matter poses a threat to the show at present. The Kennel Club is of course monitoring the situation closely and a press release will be issued by us for this weeks Dog Papers giving the most up-to-date information. If enquirers are concerned they should contact MAFF directly."
