New ILPH Horse Patrol TV Series

A TV series following the daily work of the International League for the Protection of Horses (ILPH) has premiered on the new Horse & Country TV channel, (SKY channel 280).

The 12 part series named Horse Patrol follows the charity's 16 UK Field Officers as they investigate cases of horse cruelty and neglect. Horse Patrol also features Farm Manager Janet Dale and her team at the charity's newest Recovery and Rehabilitation Centre, ILPH Glenda Spooner Farm in Somerset.

Blenheim Films approached the ILPH to make a series of programmes last year. Producer/Director Candida Brady said:

"My father introduced me to the ILPH as a child and I made a short film about the ILPH's work to stop the transport of live horses for slaughter ten years ago. Their work is extremely important and we felt it would make a really interesting television series. We were really pleased that Horse & Country TV immediately saw the potential of this series."

Horse Patrol is on every Wednesday at 7.30pm and 10.30pm and is repeated on Thursdays and Saturdays. The first episode was shown on Wednesday 25th July.
