Subaru Sponsors Equestrian TV

Car maker Subaru has joined a team of six principal brand partners which includes horse feed specialist and pet food manufacturer Dodson & Horrell and pet insurer Petplan, sponsoring the equestrian channel Horse & Country TV, (HCTV).

The agreement with HCTV, now regularly watched by over half a million viewers a week, makes Subaru the exclusive vehicle sponsor of the channel.

John Fossey, Marketing Manager, Subaru (UK) Limited said of the deal:

"The innovative format of HCTV, with both digital and broadband content, provides a new and dynamic platform for us to increase awareness of our brand to a closely-targeted audience. The sponsorship deal fits well with our strategy of reduced reliance on traditional areas of marketing and a move to an integrated strategy of related sponsorships and online activity."

Subaru has also become title sponsor of the Houghton International Horse Trials event, (22 to 25 May 2008), which will also be covered by HCTV. Organised by Event Director, Alec Lochore, (Musketeer Event Management) this is only the second year that these horse trials have been held.
