Pet and Garden Meet the Buyer

Two divisions of The Federation of Garden and Leisure Manufacturers Ltd, Gardenex and PetQuip have organised a combined pet and garden products Meet the Buyer event, in Birmingham on Thursday 21 February 2008.

British companies attending on the day will have the opportunity of meeting with leading buyers from Italy, Finland, Germany and The Netherlands on a one-to-one basis at the Novotel, Birmingham Airport.

As of today, overseas pet product buyers who have confirmed their attendance are:

Ms Hanna Kariluoto, General Manager, Fauna Finland Oy Fauna Finland is a relatively new company and is a wholesaler, distributor and importer for pet food and supplies. They supply the Faunatar chain and also other pet shops.

Ms Reetta Vuorenoja, Product Manager, Faunatar Oy Faunatar pet shops were founded in 1984 and are now one of the biggest pet shop chains in Finland. There are 21 Faunatar shops across the country, selling a wide range of pet products.

As they are part of the same group, these buyers will be holding joint meeting sessions. The buyers are mainly interested in the following products: Calendars (pets and dog breeds), Dog leashes and collars, Dog treats, Flea & Tick collars for both cats and dogs, Anti-barking solutions, Pet clothing, Pet beds and carriers, Dog and Cat toys, Grooming items, Rodent treats.

From Italy, the four buyers are:

Mr Andrea Terrile, Purchasing Manager, Agras Delic - a manufacturer and distributor of pet food and related items to both multiples and specialised channels.

Mr Massimo Bardelli, Eagle Italia - an importer, distributor, mainly of pet food from the US.

Mr Dario Brusatin, Purchasing Director, Zooplanet - sell to the specialist pet trade - handle around 8,000 articles and a number of leading brands.
