New Pet Weight Loss Website
One relatively inexpensive way to keep your brand foremost in the mind of your online market is to regularly launch small, self-managing, branded websites that are immensely useful to your customers. The pet food company Hill's Pet Nutrition, (Colgate-Palmolive) is a fervent exponent of the technique. Hot on the heals of its recent puppy and kitten sites, the company has just launched an online pet weight management website..
Hill's pet weight management programme provides owners of overweight cats and dogs with an interactive, tailored weight loss and exercise plan for them to follow with their cat or dog.
The website also includes a series of animated illustrations and videos to demonstrate how to check a pet's Body Condition Score (BCS). The owner can enter details such as the animal's weight and breed. The site can convert a pet's weight into its human equivalent.
In an odd twist it will also convert human food into pet portions. For instance, Hill's tells us that feeding a dog a slice of toast is the equivalent to a human eating a hamburger.
To help keep pet owners motivated, the site features a weekly weight loss programme email newsletter consisting of additional support, handy tips and helpful reminders.
Promoting the site Bob Gundry, Consumer Marketing Manager, Hill's Pet Nutrition, said:
"Obesity in animals is soaring and the new website will provide useful support for owners including feeding and exercise tips to keep their pets on track to reach their target weight."
